About Our Alpaca Breeding Program

For years we ran a breeding program, striving to create improvement in each generation of alpacas. Some of our goals included: alpacas with fiber that did not coarsen with age; alpacas with fiber fine enough to use in creating luxury garments; and healthy, defect-free alpacas.
Some years ago we retired from breeding, due to our ages. Alpacas can live 25 years or longer, and we feel strongly that it is not responsible to continue creating generations we may not be around to care for.
