Fiber Pool Work Begins! Jul 10, 2006

The statewide alpaca breeders group, the Alpaca Breeders of Arizona (ABA) conducts a fiber pool every year. All ABA farm members are able to contribute fleeces to the pool. Work days are schedule where the fleeces are cleaned, evaluated and weighed. Fiber from across Arizona is collected and shipped to a Canadian mill where it is processed into products such as yarn and socks. For the second year in a row Deb is coordinating the fiber pool.
