Welcome! We're Deb Hill and Don Sanfilippo, owners, breeders,and chief barn cleaners at Cloud Dancer Alpacas in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Like a lot of folks, we got into alpaca ranching when we were looking for a business that would support us financially and would allow us to live a country lifestyle in retirement. One day in 1996 we were wandering around our local county fair and discovered a lone alpaca stuck in with the llamas. We had no idea what it was, but we knew instantly we wanted one. A few months later, we were in business!

We keep our herd small, partly because of county regulations and partly because both of us work full-time at other professions. Yes, it is possible to do this and still raise alpacas. You may not have a lot of free time, but the good news is you won't care! Alpacas are wonderful!
